Comments and questions can be posted below.

Weekend at the Zoo:

Reforestation World  September 2&3, 2017, 10:00-20:00 | Zoo Zürich

The Reforestation World (www.reforestationworld.org) platform is dedicated to highlighting reforestation projects worldwide and promoting public involvement in the topic.

Reforestation World will be present at the Zürich Zoo, during the special “Going Wild” weekend on September 2 and 3, 2017, with the organisational support of SUSTINOVA. The focus of this event is the value of forests and the different options for their protection and sustainable use, in Switzerland and abroad.

On Saturday, September 2, there will be a podium discussion that brings together the perspectives from research, NGOs, politics and business. In addition, there will be a stand presence throughout the weekend with organisations involved in reforestation projects and the “Draw a tree, we plant it!” action.

Attendance is free. Prior registration is required for the podium discussion. Registration until August 27, 2017.

More details and registration here.

Blog entries:

We have recently published two blog contributions:

  • The first text, related to the SUSTINOVA Connect pilot project and how NGOs handle data from donors, brings the perspective of a frequent donor who’s overwhelmed by correspondence from NGOs.
  • The second text, is a personal testimony on the quest for a meaningful career and the intersection with the NGO world. This will be published as a series over the next months, with additional contributions by external experts such as the cinfo or the ETH Career Centre.

Both texts relate to part of our activities over the last year.

SUSTINOVA Connect:

A third funding round was conducted by SUSTINOVA as part of SUSTINOVA Connect, a pilot project for supporting private donors and their interactions with NGOs. Details on the project and funding rounds here.

SUSTINOVA is looking for contributors:

We are looking to expand our team. We have some clearly specified areas of need but are also open to explore further possibilities. More details here.
